The Simple Way is the Right Way

The AI climate paradox, Apple on a path to decay, The one piece of advice for founders and much more...

Hey everyone,

Welcome to your Sunday Space, where I distil the best ideas, resources and principles on the internet for you to digest.

If you find something thought-provoking, feel free to share it with a friend.

IDEAS
The Simple Way is the Right Way

There is no fancy, super-complex way to achieve what you want to achieve.

Counterintuitively, the best way to do something is often the simplest.

  • To get your first 100 users — cold DM people who might be interested.

  • To get better at writing — write one page a day.

  • To get fit — move your body every day.

These methods aren’t reserved for the “elite.” The elites do them (the boring stuff) incredibly well.

The simple way is often the right way.

RESOURCES
What I consumed this week…

…From around the web

This is fascinating because it presents an important paradox in the quest to create AGI.

Data centres play a crucial role in developing AI models by providing the necessary infrastructure to support training and inference workloads.

Naturally, to do this, they need energy—a lot of it. In turn, they also need a lot of water for cooling.

For example, Microsoft's Arizona data centres, which run Copilot, use around 56 million gallons of drinking water each year, equivalent to what ~670 families would use.

However, as AI systems mature, the technology is being employed to improve water management and conservation in Arizona.

It seems we’re damned if we do, and we’re damned if we don’t…

Epic’s fight with Apple spans years and has been full of twists and turns.

It feels like we’re reaching an inflection point where Apple’s monopolistic power over its App Store is destroying the value of the ecosystem it created and the value of its own company.

This is another sign that Apple could be on a path to decay.

Not only is its absolute power corrupting absolutely when it comes to the App Store, but it’s also becoming wasteful with product investment.

Without another revolutionary product to break the iPhone’s flat growth (maybe the Vision Pro does this?) Apple is going nowhere fast.

Shuttering “Project Titan” is not a step in the right direction. Seems they should’ve bought Tesla when they had the chance.

TOOLS
The No-Code x AI Bootcamp

If you're a regular here, you’ll know I’ve been through the Bootcamp myself. I'm not big on courses, and I recommend even fewer.

That speaks volumes about this one. It was a game-changer.

I’ve always been 'almost there.’ Full of ideas, yet stuck at the starting line, watching others on Twitter launch their products and succeed.

Then, I joined the Bootcamp. It completely changed my perspective.

I discovered the true power of building with No-Code and launched my MVP in a weekend.

I’m no longer hampered by analysis paralysis and have a roadmap of ideas and products I plan to build.

If you’re feeling stuck like I was, this Bootcamp is the way to break free.

THOUGHTS
Quote I’m Pondering

“We have to take our pain and make it useful. That’s what it means to be an artist.”

— Mikel Jollett, the founder of the band The Airborne Toxic Event
